OVERVIEW
THE GLASS IS JUST 3.5MM THICK 1.5mm thinner than the normal
cars, except in the back, there is no glass at all.No lache is added to the
carbon fiber trim to save 1.5 kg. The whole car weighs less than an average
human. The body is made from just five panels which means fewer bolts and glue
need to hold this together. Despite the batteries, it has two engines. In the town it is eco friendly as a health food shop, On a motorway, it is comfortable and
produces no more carbon dioxide than a family saloon and on a track, it could rip
a hole through space and time. It absolutely a brilliant masterpiece of British
engineering, that costs you £866,000 to own.
ENGINE
The electric motor and the big V8 generator could provide
you a 903 horsepower, i.e,3.8-liter 727-hp V-8 paired and a 177-hp electric motor. It all drives exclusively to the rear wheels via McLaren’s seven-speed twin-clutch, giving 0-62mph in 2.8secs and a quarter-mile in 9.8secs @ 152mph. The wheels are made from
military-grade aluminum. The brake disc from only ever material used in space programs and coated with silicon
carbide, the hardest ever substance known to man and the whole thing sits on
four tires that were designed and made by Perilli.
The electric motors work to fill in the gaps where the
petrol engine is not at its best like, the gear changes. You could press the
EV button. This will turn off the fossil fuel burning generators and allows you
to switch over into a Silent electric motor. The car has an I-PAS system which gives an electric boost for your acceleration, which sound pretty interesting
INTERIOR
One of the first things you notice when you are getting into a McLaren is that the seats are pretty much tight, obviously, they grip you on a racetrack when you are going around the corners. Another thing is that there are four climate control vents in the P1, two on the dashboard over the driver's side and two on the dashboard over the passenger-side.McLaren had integrated the headlight switch in the door panel, this might be because they don't have enough room in the dashboard which is quite an unusual thing. The I-PAS button is placed in the steering wheel. This is not the only switch you could find in the steering wheel there is also a DRS(Drag Reduction System) button, this reduces the drag by changing the wing position. The is infotainment system is quite lag, it not up to date.
Looks like a very hot car!
